MPS Welcomes Propane-Powered #Momentum23 Buses

You may notice something new rolling through your neighborhood!

Thanks to the support of our community through the 2023 Momentum Bond, Mustang Public Schools is adding five new buses to our fleet, and they are officially hitting the road starting today (4/21/26).

These additions include two full-size route buses and three smaller buses equipped with wheelchair lifts to better serve our Special Needs students.

Beyond the new look, there are some meaningful upgrades behind the scenes.

These buses are powered by propane, which means a quieter ride for students, cleaner emissions, and a significantly lower fuel cost compared to traditional diesel or gasoline.

It is a simple change with a long-term impact for both students and the district.

As these buses enter rotation, some routes are being adjusted. Families impacted by those changes have already received direct communication, and updates are also available on the MPS Operations Facebook page.

We appreciate the continued support of our community as we invest in safer, more efficient transportation for our students.
