Functional Skills Class Hosts Baked Potato Lunch for Staff

A picture of students providing potatoes for staff

Mustang North Middle School’s Functional Skills class recently hosted a baked potato lunch for our staff, combining a fun school event with meaningful learning experiences for students.

Through planning, preparing, and serving the lunch, students practiced important life skills such as customer service, handling money, communication, and teamwork. From taking orders to making change and serving staff members, students were able to apply these skills in a real-world setting.

All profits from the baked potato lunch will go toward supporting future community-based instruction field trips. These trips give students valuable opportunities to practice independence and life skills within the community. Thank you to our staff for supporting our Functional Skills students and helping make this experience a success! 🥔
