Choosing to teach is choosing to shape the future.

Mustang High School senior Jaeden Musae is doing just that.

Jaeden was recently recognized at the University of Central Oklahoma’s annual signing day, joining students from across the state who are committing to pursue careers in education. In a time when Oklahoma faces a growing teacher shortage, moments like this matter.

“I basically sign and commit that I’m going to be a teacher,” Jaeden shared.

With a goal of teaching second grade, Jaeden is already thinking about the impact she hopes to make on young learners.

“I know on the Oklahoma side we have amazing teachers and we need more amazing teachers in Oklahoma, and I want to change that and put my best foot forward in teaching our littles.”

Jaeden is part of a group of 70 future educators stepping into this calling, bringing hope and energy to the next generation of classrooms.

We are proud of Jaeden for choosing a path rooted in service, leadership, and a commitment to others. The future of education is bright with Broncos like her leading the way.
