Our MHS robotics teams had remarkable success at the Mustang state qualifier tournament held last Saturday. There were 26 teams participating from across the state.

Team 6974, Monsters of Mechanics made finals.

Team 6973, Radical Robotics won 2nd place for the Sustain Award.

  • This award celebrates the team that has considered their future team members and has worked to ensure that their team or program will continue to exist long after they have gone on to develop their careers.

Team 5395, Team Clutch was the 2nd seed playoff alliance captain and placed 3rd overall at the competition.

Team 17035, Knightmares was the 2nd member of the 1st seed alliance, won playoffs, won 3rd place for the Inspire Award, and placed 2nd overall.

  • The team that receives this award is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FIRST team. This team is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor. The Inspire Award winner is an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalism® both on and off the playing field. This team shares their experiences, enthusiasm, and knowledge with other teams, sponsors, their community, and the judges. Working as a unit, this team will have shown success in performing the task of designing and building a robot.

Two teams qualified for the Oklahoma State Championship on February 14th at Tulsa Memorial HS, Team Clutch and Knightmares.
