MHS Robotics Hosts Regional FIRST Tech Challenge Kick-Off Event
Mustang High School Robotics served as the hub for area STEM innovation as it hosted an official FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Kick-off event, bringing together student teams from across the area to launch the 2026–2027 competitive season.
Participating teams gathered in the auditorium to watch the live global unveil of this season's game, BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX. The broadcast gave students their first official preview of the game rules, field layout, and scoring dynamics.
The event brought several key STEM leaders directly to MHS to support the incoming teams:
-
State Head Referee & Head Judge: Provided crucial clarity on competition rules, judging expectations, and field conduct for the upcoming season.
-
goBILDA Representative: Offered technical advice, component insight, and build guidance as teams began planning their hardware designs.
With game details released and expert guidance in hand, visiting teams returned home with the strategic insights needed to start designing, prototyping, and building for the new competition year.
