MHS Robotics BIOBUZZ Lock-In

Members of the MHS Robotics team gathered earlier this month for their annual season-kickoff lock-in, officially launching their campaign for the 2026–2027 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competition.

The main event began as students gathered to watch the official reveal video, getting their first look at this season's game theme and field layout: BIOBUZZ™ presented by RTX. The broadcast showcased the 12-foot square field layout featuring dynamic pivoting Hives, interactive Flowers, and dual-sized Pollen and Nectar scoring elements.

Fueled by the reveal, team members immediately shifted from spectators to engineers. The overnight marathon saw students dividing into sub-teams to dive into game-manual research, tactical brainstorming, and preliminary CAD designing. Fabrication hit high gear in the lab as students used laser cutters and precision workshop tools to turn initial concepts into working prototypes.

From initial research and strategy to hands-on prototyping and laser cutting, the MHS Robotics teams emerged from the lock-in focused, equipped, and ready to tackle the BIOBUZZ season.
