All of the great works of literature begin with a quote, ala "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." This post will follow that tradition for a reason which will soon become apparent:

“She makes everyone feel like they belong.”

“She pushes you to be the best version of yourself.”

“She always finds a place for you… in her classroom, on the stage, or behind the scenes.”

“My favorite thing about Mrs. Farnham is how much she cares… she has only ever given me opportunities that stretched me as a person.”

That’s not from a novel. That’s from her students.

For 24 years at Mustang High School, Emily Farnham has built a classroom where students are expected to show up, take ownership, and give their best. She pushes them, supports them, and then pushes them again, because she knows what they’re capable of, sometimes before they do.

The stage may be the setting, but the real work goes far beyond it.

Students leave her classroom with more than performance skills. They leave with belief in themselves, a stronger voice, and the ability to step into whatever comes next.

And long after they graduate, they come back. They call. They share their lives.

That kind of impact doesn’t need a script.

We’re proud to celebrate Emily Farnham as one of Mustang High School’s 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year.
