CV Tech Partnership Powers New Foundational Health Care Program

Educators Katherine Knight and Leiha Chaisson are celebrating a transformative partnership with CV Tech, aimed at getting new foundational health care classes off the ground and preparing local students for future medical careers.

The collaboration creates a direct pipeline for district students interested in health care, offering hands-on learning opportunities, class visits, and shadowing experiences designed to help students seamlessly transition into advanced medical coursework, including CV Tech's specialized programs.

To help outfit the new learning spaces, CV Tech donated surplus equipment to give students realistic clinical practice. Donated items to date include:

• Hospital beds and bedside tables

• Phlebotomy practice equipment

• Simulation mannequins and anatomical models

• Blood pressure monitoring devices and stethoscopes

• Medical supply carts and supplemental textbooks

"We are extremely grateful to CV Tech and look forward to continuing to work together," said Chaisson. "We are excited to build a program that helps students prepare for medical classes and launches them toward rewarding healthcare careers."
