Mustang High School DECA was the only DECA Chapter in Oklahoma to receive all three THRIVE level Chapter Campaign recognitions this year. Chapters earning this international level award will be commended at DECA’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held April 22-25, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
Each fall, DECA offers three Chapter Campaigns to complete as part of their program of leadership for the year. These campaigns are designed to grow membership engagement and build lasting partnerships within the school and local community. In order to receive THRIVE level recognition, the Mustang DECA Chapter completed all three Chapter Campaigns including the community service campaign, ethical leadership campaign, and promotional campaign.The chapter also participated in the membership campaign which challenged the chapter to increase student membership by 20 more members from the previous school year. The Mustang DECA Chapter increased their membership by over 35 students from the previous year.
The Mustang High School DECA members who contributed to the THRIVE recognition were Cayeden Doudney-President, Katie Barnett-VP of Marketing, Bella Hall-VP of Hospitality, Kenley Dillon-VP of Membership, and Anisa Sewell-VP of Career Management with the assistance of their advisor, Carrie Miller.
