Brrrr! When Weather Strikes, How Mustang Decides to Close Schools

Winter weather can bring big questions for families, and this month’s Chats with Charles focuses on how Mustang Public Schools makes inclement weather decisions.

In the December episode, Superintendent Charles Bradley walks through how the district determines whether to hold school as scheduled, call a Distance Learning day, or close due to weather. He also answers common questions families ask each winter, including how and when families are notified, why early release and late start options are limited, and how attendance and absences are handled when weather impacts the school day.

We appreciate our families’ partnership as we work to make thoughtful, safety-focused decisions for students and staff.
