Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to introduce you to our new initiative, Camp PreK and Camp Kinder! This pilot program will be launched at Creek, Lakehoma, and Riverwood for PreK, and at Centennial, Creek, Lakehoma, Prairie View, Riverwood, and Trails for Kindergarten. As all of our PreK and many of our Kinder students are new to our school community, this program will allow us the opportunity to get to know your children and build cohesive classroom communities that foster thriving educational environments.

Upon enrollment, your child will be assigned to the class of a Buddy Teacher. This teacher will be your primary point of contact, and you will receive communication from them prior to Open House. During Open House on August 8th, you will have the chance to meet all the PreK or Kinder teachers and peek inside of the classrooms where your child will be spending their first four days of school.

On the first day of school, your child will start and end the day with their Buddy Teacher. PreK students will also have rest time with their Buddy Teacher. Throughout the day, your child will rotate between different classrooms, engaging in purposeful play and participating in our regular back-to-school activities. This rotation allows our teachers to observe the interactions between students, helping us to identify which students connect well with each other.

By the end of the week, we will have gathered valuable insights that will enable us to place each student in the class where they will thrive for the 2024-2025 school year. Starting Monday, August 19th, your child will begin their journey in their official PreK or Kinder class. Following this, you will be invited to a meeting where you can familiarize yourself with the class schedule and routines and get to know your child’s teacher.

We believe that Camp PreK and Camp Kinder will provide a wonderful start to your child's educational journey with us. We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead and cannot wait to welcome you and your child to our school community.

Warm regards,

Misty Eidson
