Christian Kelley Named 2025-2026 Mustang Public Schools District Teacher of the Year

(Mustang, Oklahoma – April 9, 2026) – Mustang Public Schools is proud to announce that Christian Kelley, science teacher at Mustang High School, has been named the district’s 2025-2026 District Teacher of the Year. Kelley was selected from an outstanding group of site-level honorees for her engaging instruction, leadership, and lasting impact on students.

Kelley, who teaches physical science and chemistry, is known for creating a classroom where students don’t just learn scientific concepts, but experience them. Her approach emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application, helping students develop both confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

“Christian Kelley represents the very best of Mustang Public Schools,” said Superintendent Charles Bradley. “Her ability to connect with students and bring learning to life is exceptional. She challenges students to think deeply, stay curious, and believe in their own potential.”

“Christian creates a classroom environment where students are engaged, supported, and inspired,” said Dr. Kathy Knowles, Principal of Mustang High School. “She has a gift for making science meaningful and accessible, and her impact on students is evident in both their learning and their confidence.”

Kelley began her career in a small school setting, where she taught multiple science subjects across grade levels. That experience helped shape her adaptability and instructional approach. Now at Mustang High School, she continues to build on that foundation by creating dynamic, student-centered learning experiences that challenge and inspire.

As the 2025-2026 District Teacher of the Year, Kelley will represent Mustang Public Schools in the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year program.
