Every Mustang student is part of a learning community focused on meeting individual needs and supporting growth. That work has always been rooted in strong teaching, meaningful relationships, and the thoughtful use of tools and resources that support learning.
The #WeAreMpowered program continues to reflect that approach.
Innovative Instruction Student 1:1 Program (9-12)
Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, students at Mustang High School in grades 9 through 12 will continue in a 1:1 environment, with each student receiving a district-issued Chromebook to support their learning both in and out of the classroom.
For students in Pre-K through 8th grade, devices will be used within the classroom through shared carts. Chromebooks/iPads will remain a regular part of instruction, but their use will be guided by teachers based on the needs of each lesson and learning experience.
This shift allows us to be more intentional with how technology is used in the classroom. It creates space for collaboration, hands-on learning, and focused instruction, while still ensuring students have access to the tools they need.
Technology continues to play an important role in Mustang classrooms. Students will build digital skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills that prepare them for what comes next.
At the center of all of this are our teachers. Through ongoing professional learning, they are equipped to design lessons that engage students, challenge their thinking, and make the most of the tools available to them.
We appreciate the continued partnership of our families as the #WeAreMpowered program evolves to best support student learning.
PARENT/GUARDIAN RESOURCES:
In MPS, we continue to work hard to ensure that our students, your children, are prepared to learn and live in digital world. The opportunities your child will experience related to digital learning are aligned with state and national standards, and we believe strongly that it is our responsibility to develop your child’s foundational skills and knowledge around digital citizenship, organization, access and collaboration, developing overall good digital citizens throughout this journey.
As with all things in education, it is a partnership between school and home. That is why we would like to share with you some resources to support our guardians as you support your child in this journey:
Qustodio | Linewize | Classwize
At Mustang Public Schools, we believe in fostering safe and productive digital environments for all our students. To achieve this, we use Linewize by Qoria, a comprehensive platform that supports student wellbeing and digital citizenship both in and out of the classroom.
