U.S. Government Shutdown

As the federal government shutdown continues, we recognize that many families across Oklahoma may be affected, particularly those who rely on programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to help provide consistent access to food at home.

If your family’s financial situation has changed as a result of the shutdown or for any other reason, you can apply or reapply for free or reduced-price meals through the Mustang Public Schools Child Nutrition Program.  Apply online here: https://www.nlappscloud.com/

NOTE:  If you are reapplying, please note that income and household information should reflect your family’s current situation on the date of the application (not past or anticipated income).

Additional Information

  • Individuals can dial 2-1-1 on their phones to receive additional information about food banks, pantries, and other community support programs across Oklahoma.
  • Oklahomans can learn more about how the government shutdown will affect SNAP benefits by visiting the Department of Human Services' FAQ webpage.
  • Those who need assistance and those who would like to support their fellow Oklahomans can find additional resources on the DHS “Be a Neighbor” webpage.
  • If you have questions about school meals or any needed assistance, please contact us via email at MERCcontact@mustangps.org or reach out to your school counselor or principal.
