Career Tech at Mustang

For more than 100 years, Oklahoma's system of technology and career education has been focused on improving Oklahoma's economy by providing individuals with the training and skills necessary to be successful in the workplace and by providing companies with with the required workforce necessary to compete globally.

Mustang, in its efforts to develop more academically successful students, uses funds with every intention of fulfilling the purpose of the Carl Perkins Act.  Developing the ability to learn independently, collaborate with peers to accomplish work, and communicate the conclusions of your work are the core of 21st century skills, and a highly valued set of competencies in the world outside of school.  Mustang's use of Carl Perkins funds will provide opportunities to our students for a rich, hands on learning experience.  Students will be exposed to high tech items they might not otherwise get to experience.

It is our mission to prepare students to be successful through quality career and technical education programs and services.  Our technical education programs include rigorous content that focuses on the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful.  Curriculum used in Mustang meets industry and state standards and advances our students towards certification, licensure, or further education.
