Mr. Collins A103

Hello and Welcome to Mr. Collins' Crew! We will be located in A103 this year!
This is my second year teaching at Mustang Elementary School, but I have taught 4th grade in North Carolina from 2013-2016. I live in Yukon with my beautiful wife Becca Collins and my sweet little peanut Rhett and we are so excited to be apart of the Mustang community! I am a very fun loving person most of the time, but I make sure when work needs to be finished that it is done correctly!
I graduated from East Carolina University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Originally, I strived to be a Theatre teacher because of my love for acting, but found my passion could be more well spent in the elementary classroom incorporating theatre aspects.
For the most part, I enjoy the simple things in life like being outside hiking, grilling out with the family, or even just spending the day with family and friends. I love listening to music and watching Youtube videos when I am able to just sit down and chill. More than anything I like to cook whether it is grilling out or baking in the house while still trying to hone in on my skills in the culinary craft.
Fun Facts:
My wife  and I just recently had our first baby this July. His name is Everett Alan, but we are nicknaming him Rhett. We are so in love with this little peanut! Also in April of 2018, my wife and I participated in an event called the Tough Ruck which took place in Concord, Mass. This event was a full marathon in which we carried backpacks filled with at least 20 lbs. of weight in them. It was a huge accomplishment for both of us, but completeing this challenge together was well worth all the pain afterwards.
P.S. I just want you to know that I plan on treating your children just like I would my own child. My expectations are very high and all I want from your kiddos is that they will put forth their very best effort in all tasks, that they respect every other child and their property, and that they are able to grow into well rounded 5th graders that plan to make a difference in this world one day!
