At Home Distance Learning STEM Activities

In 5th and 6th Grade STEM we use the Engineering Design Process to solve problems by designing, building, and testing a solution.
Please visit the links below to engage in activities that use STEM skills and the Engineering Design Process. They have a ton of fun STEM ideas for off line and on line learning. If you have any questions or would like to show your teacher your creations, please email me at [email protected]
This link gives you up to 6 weeks of STEM learning activities with one new activity each day.
This link gives specific directions to make and test fun activities using common materials found at home like a Candy Catapult, Paper Football, and mini Parachutes.

At Home GATE Distance Learning

In GATE this school year we have explored our own personal learning styles and even completed a project over our passions for Genius Hour. Now would be a great time to pick a new passion to explore or even continue building on your Genius Hour project. I have left our GATE Google Classroom active, so feel free to send me updates on your new passion project or just let me know how you have been expanding your learning while at home.
Below you will see a link to a Gifted and Talented Choice Board from the Oklahoma State Department of Eduction. It gives some other fun ideas of activities you can work on to help keep your mind engaged while distance learning.
