About Me

My name is Kathy Green.    This will be my 33nd year of teaching, my passion.   I taught sixteen years in Cleo Springs, OK, nine years in Guymon, OK, one year in Granbury, TX, and this is my seventh year in Mustang. I have been privileged to teach a variety of different grade levels 1st-6th grade.    This will be my third year of teaching art. 

I was born and raised in Independence, KS. I went to Independence Community Junior College and received an Associate of Arts degree. I then went to Pittsburg State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. I married and moved to Oklahoma and took a few college classes at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and received an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I took 30 hours of gifted and talented training in Fort Worth, TX.

I have been married for 34 years to a wonderful man named Merle. We have two children. Our oldest child is a daughter named Kerry. She is a teacher in Missouri. Kerry married a man named Dustin and they have two boys.   Dustin is a computer technician at National Enzyme Company.   Our youngest child is a son named Kris. Kris is a mechanical engineer With DCP Midstream in Borger, Texas.
