Welcome to 6th grade ELA!
Teaching ELA combines some of my great passions in life. I love to read. I love to write. I love working with kids. So, I am very much looking forward to our journey together this year!
This is my 12th year in Mustang Schools and my 13th year in Education. I have lived my entire life in the Yukon/Mustang area having graduated from Yukon High School and Southern Nazarene University. It is a great joy to be able to serve the community in which I grew up in.
My husband, Kameron, is an assistant principal at Mustang North. We have three boys. Jack (11), Eli (7), and Kasen (3). My family is my life! We love to stay busy by riding bikes, camping, being outdoors, going on hikes/walks, attending sporting events, and taking trips to the mountains! Oh, and I can’t forget about our newest member of the family, Rocky. Our sweet lab is named for our love of the Rocky Mountains and the Jayhawks (RockChalk Jayhawk, Go KU!). You can blame my husband for that one... He grew up in Kansas! :) That being said, I am also a SOONER fan (Boomer Sooner).
I love the start of the year as it brings forth a new day; one full of possibilities. My hope is that no matter where your child is at on the education journey, they will find the joy of learning in my class. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a great year for your child.
