Note From the Teacher

Back to School Site

Dear Parents,

Your child will be taking the ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) test Monday through Thursday of this week. This test will cover each area of the curriculum. Unlike the OCCT tests a few weeks ago, the ITBS has time constraints which mean your student has only an allotted time to complete each section. Please make sure your child has adequate rest and a healthy breakfast this week. If your student is scheduled to bring snacks this week please let me know if you are unable to do so and I will provide a snack.

We will not have a spelling list or spelling homework this week. I will send home book bags and reading lists each day. This will be a great week for them to complete their AR reading.

Please continue to have them read orally to you or another adult each evening.

Thank you to Mr. Meyer, Mrs. Hesser, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Wooten, Mrs. Hankins and Mrs. McCraw for joining us on our field trip. We loved having you along!!!!
