Directions (if time permits)
1. Respect. Respect
yourself enough to allow yourself to learn and get an education that you
will use for the rest of your life. Respect others enough to allow others
to learn. Respect Mrs. Woodard enough to allow her to teach you and others
something new each day.
Do this by:
§ Talking when it is your turn and at appropriate times. If in doubt, don’t talk.
§ Being on time to class. When the bell rings, you should be writing in your agenda.
§ Bringing binder, agenda, and pen or pen to class every day.
§ Keeping your hands to yourself and on your own stuff at all times.
§ Sitting in your assigned seat.
§ Taking care of class equipment and supplies. Be prepared to replace or repair equipment you break by misuse or abuse.
§ Following the MNMS handbook rules.
Consequences for poor behavior choices: pink slips (3 pink slips = detention), discipline report, office referral, detention, &/or other measures in which your parents, principals, & I agree.
Grading:
Grading for the Skills For Living
class is calculated on total points. The
district grading scale as noted in the handbook will apply.
Class Supplies:
· Binder, paper, pen or pencil, and agenda should be brought to class each day. Label a divider, “Skills For Living” in the binder you are using for your core classes. Students will not be checked out a book for this class, therefore papers to be used to study for tests &/or quizzes will be kept in their binder. (A binder grade will be taken on Wednesday, August 27. A 100% will be recorded for having a labeled divider, paper, pen or pencil and agenda. 10% off each day late on the binder grade.)
· Donations of the any of the following extra items families may have would be greatly appreciated: copy paper, spools of thread, Kleenex, nail polish, baby oil.
