About
Me

My teaching career began as 4th grade teacher in the state of Minnesota.
I married, moved to Madison, Wisconsin and taught in a 3rd-4th grade
team. My family moved to Oklahoma, and I taught 3rd grade at Mustang
Valley for a few years. After receiving my Master's Degree, I began
teaching at Mustang North. I have taught for 22 years.
My husband, Ray, is an employee of the Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation. We have three children. My son, Ray, just graduated
from OU Law School and is practicing law in Houston, Texas. My son, Paul,
graduated from OU with a degree in Economics and owns a small business in
Norman, and my daughter, Laura, is a law student at OU. Besides
loving to read,
I also love
watching all sports. My favorite is basketball!
I grew up in
New York, and go back to visit my brothers every year.
AR Requirements

Regular Literature Classes:
Students are required to read 3 books or the equivalent* every nine
weeks. Books should be on tested reading level. The first book read
MUST be an AR book. Once the first book requirement is completed,
students may, WITH MY PERMISSION, read books that are not AR. When they
finish the book, students must write a detailed book report telling me the
complete story. A parent MUST sign this report. Reading logs need
to be filled in during reading class. Logs must be turned in with both
written reports and AR tests. POINTS DO NOT COUNT IN EIGHTH GRADE.
* 3 books or 450 pages
Advanced Literature Classes:
Students are required to turn in one book review every nine weeks. They are required to keep a log of all
books read during that time period.
This log must be signed by a parent and turned in to me at the end of
each nine weeks period. Minimum
page requirement is 600 pages.
