Classroom Behavior:

·        Come to class prepared (this means pencil and paper everyday)

·        Raise your hand if you need assistance, please do not call my name from across the room to get my attention.

·        Respect the rights and property of your classmates and teacher.

·        Remain in your seats until the bell rings, I will dismiss you.

·        Profanity, bulling or intimidation of any kind will be tolerated(see student handbook)

·        No cell phones, drinks, food. (see student handbook)

First and foremost the policies outlined in the MPS student handbook will upheld in the classroom, along with the discipline procedure, this also includes dress codes.

Attendance and Make up Work:

If you are absent from school, it is your responsibility to find out what assignments you missed during your absence.  You will be given 2 days for each day you were absent to make up the assignment.  MPS policy for attendance and tardies will be enforced in the classroom.

6 tardies = 2 hours of detention

9 tardies = 3 hours of detention

12 tardies = send to asst. principal

ID badges and Agendas

Please make sure you have your student ID and agenda on a daily basis, this will be checked every hour if you forget to have them you will be assigned detention, this is your warning.  ID badges need to be worn around the neck only, not on your backpack or purse.

Grading

I grade on a total point system, this means if the assignment was worth 50 pts and you missed 10 problem you would receive a 40 pts out of 50 pts.  Chapter exams, projects, semester tests, and quizzes will be worth more pts that daily assignments, so it is important that you prepare for tests.
