j0199373General Class Information

Together we will be helping your child begin a rewarding and fun start to their education. This is the foundation for the next twelve years. Let’s make sure we begin to turn them into lifelong learners with a desire to be responsible and active in their own education!

Most importantly will be remembering to return Book Packets daily with the Reading Log showing that you have read with your child!

j0199373Class News

Everyone is doing a great job of getting the homework done each night. It’s so important to begin that routine now of putting school work first so that it becomes a habit. We are working hard at using handwriting lines and pulling our pencils the correct direction. You can help with this at home as your child practices their spelling words. Spelling words are getting harder! Don’t forget to practice at home!! Sight Words can be copied and put on index cards, then play matching games such as Memory with them. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you.

Match Facts are learned in sets, such as +0 or +1’s. Flash cards will come home with your child to practice with. Each set will be practiced for approximately one to two weeks and a final test will be given. Each child will need to be able to pass the final test in 3 minutes. This area is still under construction. Please look for links to practice tests in the future.
