Back to TopWhat services can my child receive from Title VII?Currently the program provides tutoring during school hours via pull out. The Title VII teacher schedules a time with the classroom teacher for one or two 30 minute sessions each week. Students being pulled out of class are determined based on STAR test scores in the elementary schools and progress/semester grades in the secondary schools. A teacher, parent &/or student may request tutoring services as well. Back to TopWhat does Title VII pay for; i.e. ACT test, school supplies, etc.?Currently the Title VII program pays only for after school tutors at the high school level. Back to TopWhat does it cost to participate in the program?Nothing. The Title VII program is a grant program funded through Washington D.C. It does not cost the students of MPS to participate. Back to TopHow do I become a member of the parent committee?Any parent whose child/children are currently enrolled in the program is eligible to be a member of the parent committee (IEAC). Check the website for upcoming meeting dates and attend. As a member of the committee you are eligible to participate in activities as well as vote on grants, committee officers, etc.
