Student laboratory safety is extremely important to us at Mustang High School. Students receive in-depth instruction, and hands-on practice, in all areas of equipment use, chemical use, storage and disposal methods, handling accidents in the lab, as well as proper lab attire before we begin the formal lab exercises which are part of the Chemistry courses. Students are tested on these practices and required to sign (along with their parents) a safety contract (see link - left side of this page) outlining all aspects of safety in the laboratory.
