Class Rules

The expectation for this class is that students will:

    1.    Be RESPONSIBLE  (Be in your seat ready to work when the bell rings.  Have your work completed and IN PENCIL.)

    2.    Be RESPECTFUL (Listen to instruction and other questions.  Keep school property clean and neat.  Cooperate with others)

    3.   Be RESPECTED (Treat others as you would want to be treated)

    4.    Be RESPONSIVE (Take part in class math discussions)

   The grade that students earn is based on the following scale:

        Pre-Algebra Classes                                            Algebra I Class

             50% Homework/Notebook                     40% Homework/Notebook

             40% Tests                                             50% Tests

           10% Quizzes                                         10% Quizzes

All work in this class is to be done in PENCIL.  No credit will be given for work turned in using INK unless directed by the teacher.  

Leaving class:

Students must have their agenda to be signed to leave class.

Food:

No food, gum or drinks to be brought into class.  From time to time rewards may be given in the form of a snack, these must be consumed in class.

Detention:

Students earn detention by not following the above rules and the rules in the student handbook.  Three pink slips for any reason will result in a detention.  Repeated violations may result in more serious consequences.
