Requirements:

Place this handout in the Appendix section of your spiral.
Articles must science related. Specific science topics are listed in the schedule section.
Articles are due the last Friday of each month unless otherwise specified.
Articles must be current--up to 2 months old.
Articlesmust have an author, source, and a date given. If the article does not state the author, source, and the date, do not use it.
Articles will not be accepted late.
Read often to find an article to use- you have a whole month.
Articles must be typed using a 12 or 14 font in New Times Roman. If you don't have a computer, you need to make arrangements to stay before or after school to get this done. Do not come to me at the beginning of class and ask to print something. Plan ahead!
A copy of the article must be provided with your analysis.
Do not copy and paste the whole article or parts of it and hand it in as your own. It will be graded as a zero. Quotes are fine as long as they're put in quotation marks and credit is given. I want to know what YOU think about the article, not how well you can copy something.
The main body of the analysis is to be written in paragraph form with at least 3 sentences per paragraph. You should address "who" the article is about, "what" was done, "when" the discovery, experiment, or event occurred, "where" did it take place, "how" has it affected the world or you personally.
