Class Constitution

Our third grade classroom has written a Class Constitution describing

 our rights and responsibilities as students.  Students, parents, and principals participated in a signing ceremony early in the year.


We the students of Mrs. Combs in order to be the best students 
we can be have these rights. . .

 «To be treated fairly
 
. . .In order to have these rights
 we must accept these responsibilities. 
«Raise hand for permission to speak.
«Follow directions the first time given.
«No put-downs
«Keep hands, feet and objects to self
«No lying, cheating or stealing.
 
 
The result of accepting these responsibilities 
will be good study skills, 
good citizenship, and a quality education.

Negative results of not accepting responsibility:

1.  Name in behavior book. Sit out 10 min. of recess.
2. Check mark by name, sit out 15 minutes of recess.
3.  Call Parents. Miss recess.  Two check marks by name.
4.  Three check marks by name.  Time out in another classroom.
After school detention.
5.  Four check marks by name.  Visit principal's office.
