Notes
from Me!
Information about the classes is above in the section
Curriculum. There is an outline of what students do during their 9 weeks
in Skills Living.
In 6th Grade Skills Living the students will need a cereal
box (or a box of same size), a recent picture of themselves, and a CD or
cassette tape with their favorite song on it (no songs with cursing or
suggestive materials please!)
In 7th Grade Skills Living the students will need materials
for a Friendship Pillowcase which includes a solid colored pillowcase,
embroidery needles size 20, and embroidery floss. Materials for a Mug Rug
include a piece of plastic canvas, plastic canvas needles and yarn. I
have many colors of yarn that they may use during class time.
In 8th Grade Skills Living the students will purchase a
sewing project. The project will include a stuff bag (their choice of
size and color) and “possibly” one other project (depends on which
9 weeks your child is in enrolled in). We order these projects from Haan
Craft Inc. Checks are made payable to MMS. Due date for money is
given at least two weeks before.
Any other supplies for 6th, 7th and 8th
grade are provided for them in the classroom. If you have any questions, please
contact me using the information above.
