dates for the ACT exams for this school year are listed below. Pay attention to the deadlines for each
one. I will be giving ACT Math
reviews and practice sessions before four of the exams. The date and information for the sessions

Midterms are here!
Midterm exams
are this week. Hours 1, 3, & 5 will test on Thursday and hours 2, 4, &
6 will test on Friday. That takes us up to Spring Break March 17-21.
AP CALCULUS EXAM IS MAY 7! The
AP Calculus students have finished covering the topics for the exam and have
begun their review process to prepare for the exam.
Regular
Calculus students are not far behind and will hopefully get to pursue some of
the more advanced topics that the AP class covers.
Foundations
students will be doing more practice College Algebra exams during the final
nine weeks and continue to prepare for college placement exams.
ACT
Seniors have
one last chance to get their ACT score up before applying to the college or
university of their choice. The ACT exams will be given on the following dates:
Apr. 12 and June 14. I will give ACT Math review sessions before the April exam
on Thursday, April 10 from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Cost for the review session is $25
and includes pizza and pop.
Homework:
Homework
continues to be a major portion of our grades in both Foundations and
Calculus. We’ll work and have
daily assignments through the end of the school year. Homework accounts for
roughly 33% of grades for both classes.
Not doing the homework hurts twice – once for the zero it receives
and then again for not being prepared for exams. Make use of before and after school help. I am in my room by 8:05 each
day and stay as needed on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

Bring the receipt for this letter back signed
by 3/14 to receive 5 points bonus for this month. (Receipt was sent home with actual copy
of the letter. If your student didn’t get one to you, you’re
welcome to just write on a piece of paper that you read this and send it to
school with your student.)
