American Heart Challenge

DEAR CRI PARENTS,

Our school is proud to partner with the American Heart Association to host American Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart)!  Through this program, students are receiving heart healthy messaging and have service learning opportunities to raise money for The American Heart Association. All money raised will go towards life-saving research in the areas of heart disease and stroke, education, and advocacy.

We will celebrate the closing of this program with a physical activity party on December 19th.  However, all donations are due by November 30th.  Students may be excused from missing their regularly scheduled classes to attend for a donation of $20.   The students will get to play their favorite PE games.  Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and their fight against heart disease—the number one leading cause of death in our country.

WE HAVE SET A GOAL TO RAISE $2,000!  HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP!

ATTEND THE EVENT

Students can donate to attend the event. Donations need to be turned into Coach Reed or Coach Mash by November 30th.

DONATE ONLINE/FUNDRAISING

Go to heart.org/americanheartchallenge or search “AMERICAN HEART CHALLENGE” in the app store to sign up for our school’s online fundraising page. Students can donate as well as email, post to social media, and sent text messages asking for donations.

We are excited to partner with the American Heart Association for this fun event! We hope you will support our students as they help others and raise awareness for heart disease and stroke.
