RESIDENCY VERIFICATION DAY
Bills need to be either water, gas, electric or lease, mortgage or realtor's contract.  We canNOT take cable, phone, or insurace bills.

Mustang Public Schools has always verified a student's home address, or residency, in the spring. Last year, the district implemented an extra level of security to ensure each student enrolled should be attending Mustang Schools.

For ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ONLY, a special day has been set aside to prove residency. On Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., parents are asked to stop by their child's elementary school with one proof of residency. These can include utility bills, a warranty deed statement, ad-valorem tax statement, mortgage statement or rental agreements. If a parent is bringing a bill, the bill must be from July or August. Telephone, internet, cable television bills, checks and drivers licenses do not count as proofs of residency.

By setting aside a specific time and date, the district is hoping the process goes smoothly and parents can be in and out quickly. For parents who cannot make it on Aug. 3, they can come at a later date with their proof of residency, but the process will take longer.

For intermediate, middle school and high school students, parents will need to bring one proof of residency for schedule pickup.
