Horizon's Academic Team
Horizon's Academic Team competes against other 5th and 6th grade students in our area. Questions are based on curriculum specific to these grade levels as well as current events and pop culture. Meets are run a lot like you would see on Jeopardy where the contestants must buzz in before answering.
Practices will be held each Friday, we are in school, at 7am in the Purple Hall. We will not only practice answering questions, but work on rules, scoring, and expectations for competing.
If you are interested in trying out for Academic Team, you must complete the application and attend the tryout on Friday, September 21 at 7am in the purple hall.
For more information, please contact Ms. Ratliff or Mrs. McElroy

Bus Information

Students are not allowed to ride a friend’s bus to school or from school. Children are only allowed to ride the specific bus they have been designated to ride by the transportation department. This is in effect due to the large number of students on each bus; there is simply no room. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Car Rider Drop off/Pick up

We appreciate your diligence in following traffic guidelines. Please remember the east side parking lot is used for bus drop off/pick up. The west parking lot (main entrance) is utilized for car drop off/pick up. Please do not use the surrounding streets for dropping off and picking up your child; this is a major safety issue. Please only use the loop on the west side of the building.
