 Welcome to 5th Grade ELA
It is with great honor that I am able to serve as your child's 5th Grade ELA teacher. Teaching is absolutely my passion! Having the opportunity to shape young minds is is such a privilege and joy. I appreciate that I have the chance to work with students at such a pivotal time in their lives - between elementary and middle school. I look forward to watching your child grow both academically and personally over this next year! It brings me great joy to watch each student grow and achieve their own success. It is my hope that every child walks away from Canyon Ridge Intermediate feeling confident, successful, and valued. In my humble opinion, your student is at the greatest school in the state - a school filled with teachers, myself included, who want only the very best for your child! I look forward to working together to make this the best year yet for your student.

My name is Nicki Pearce, and I am in my sixth year teaching at Canyon Ridge Intermediate. When I am not in the classroom, I am spending time with the two loves of my life - my incredible husband, Shawn and our daughter, Adelyn (Addie).

I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and love to spend my Saturdays cheering, "Boomer Sooner!" On Sundays, I give the crimson and cream a rest, in exchange for black and yellow. We are a family of devout Steeler fans. As a lover of all things history, I love to read historical fiction and travel to different historical sites. I spend a lot of my time trying new recipes and love to bake. While I have many things that bring me happiness, my family and love for teaching rank highest. I love this job, and feel so fortunate that I chose to follow my calling. Having the opportunity to work with students is one of my life's greatest joys!
