About Mrs. Lawhon

I was born here in Edmond, Oklahoma and lived there until I was three years old. I lived in several states after that, but I consider my “home” to be Tennessee since that is where we lived the longest. I moved back here in 2010 and attended the University of Central Oklahoma where I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.

I have been married to my husband Jesse for a little over four years now. He is a collision technician and enjoys working on cars, even when he is at home. We have a daughter named Brynlee who will be three on October 3rd. We have three animals. We have two dogs and a cat. We adopted all of them from the animal shelter. Our two dogs are named Rambo and Daisy. Our cats name is Layla. I am sure your children will hear about my daughter and my animals often in class!

This will be my third year teaching at Lakehoma Elementary. I taught my first two years in second grade, and this will be my fifth year teaching first.

I knew from a very young age that this was going to be my profession when I got older. I have always loved children and getting to help them learn and grow! I feel I am so lucky to be able to have a career that is a true passion of mine! I love my job and couldn’t imagine doing anything different! I can’t wait to for this school year! Thank you for sharing your child with me this year!
