Compensation and Benefits
  • Three tier salary schedule:  Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate
  • Experience from other public schools up to 5 years
  • Additional stipend for special education teachers
  • Mentor teacher stipend
  • Extra duty for sponsors, coaches, department head, and others
  • Payday on the 20th of every month
  • District-paid life insurance policy valued at $15,000
  • District-paid Teacher Retirement System contribution
  • State-paid health insurance benefit for employee
  • Personal leave benefit of three days
  • Sick leave benefit of ten days per academic year
  • Bereavement leave benefit of up to six days per year for immediate family
  • Attendance incentive offered at the end of academic year
  • IRS Section 125 Plan options available for payroll deduction
  • Sick Leave Bank
  • Leave without pay option
  • Leave of Absence option
  • Jury Duty/Legal Proceedings benefit available

  • Preparation time:  elementary – 275 minutes per week; secondary – length of a scheduled instructional period per day

Support Salaries

Support salaries are determined by the job responsibilities and the length of the day worked.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Leave based on the hour requirement of a particular job (i.e., one day of leave for a four-hour employee is equivalent to four hours)
  • Vacation leave accrues monthly
  • Personal leave benefit of three days per academic year
  • Bereavement leave benefit of up to six days per year for immediate family
  • Sick leave accrues monthly
  • Sick Leave Bank
  • Jury Duty/Legal Proceedings benefit available
