Welcome to my classroom page!
My name is Thomas Teague, and I'm excited to join the Mustang Middle School family this year! I teach 8th Grade Science & Pre Ap Science, and this is my 6th year teaching middle school science.
I graduated from Northeastern State University, majoring in both Political Science and Communication Studies with a minor in Humanities. I was recruited by Teach for America, and taught in a high need school in Tulsa for five years. During this time, fell in love with science.
As a teacher and scholar, I am most interested in the intersection between the sciences and humanities. I have published a number of in depth curriculum units with Yale University and The University of Tulsa covering topics like evolution, DNA, and the mathematics of planetary motion.
All people are born scientists, asking questions and building understanding about the world around us. We will have a great school year exploring and mastering a number of topics!
Canvas is an important tool this year and all class content can be found there:
