About Mrs. Thompson

Hello there! My name is Taylir Thompson and this will be my seventh year teaching 5th grade! I am a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am also a Teacher Consultant for Oklahoma Writing Project. I am deeply passionate about teaching literacy and writing to students and teachers alike!

Outside of teaching, I love doing life with my husband, Chad. We have one daughter who just turned 2 on August 2. Her name is Andi and she is by far the biggest blessing I've yet to experience in life. We also have two dogs, Jagger and Duck, who we love taking on hikes and to the lake. I absolutely love church and the Sunday naps that follow! I am a lover of anything outdoors and am always up for a new adventure. I have always loved playing and watching sports, so don't be surprised if you catch me at a football, baseball, softball, or soccer game of yours!

I have very high expectations for all of my students because I believe in their potential, even when they do not. I promise to challenge them, encourage them, pray for them, support them, believe in them, protect them, teach them, and, most importantly, love them like my own. I am so excited to get to know each and every one of my kiddos and their families. Please feel free to contact me at any time! E-mail and text are the best ways to reach me.

GO BRONCOS!
