Algebra 2 introduces and develops the concepts of quadratic relations and functions, polynomial functions, radical functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and conic sections. There is an emphasis on graphing, the understanding of translations, and locating important parts of graphs. Students will understand and communicate models in four ways – graphically, algebraically, numerically, and verbally. We will explore arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, matrices, probability, and statistics. Computations in this class require mastery of Algebra I skills.
