Michelle Owens

Meet Ms. Owens

I am very excited about the opportunity to teach your student this year.  My name is Theresa Michelle Owens. I go by Michelle, but my school email must be listed by my first name, Theresa.  I have 5 wonderful grown children and a baby granddaughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football, and reading.  I have taught 6th grade through 12th grade at some point in my career, and I am beginning my 18th year of teaching. It is my first year teaching for Mustang Schools, and I am loving it so far!

My goal is to work together with you to encourage your student to reach his/her highest potential.  As parents, your role in your student’s learning is vital to his/her success, as you are your student’s greatest educational resource.  In order for us to collaborate as a team on your student’s behalf, I will be contacting you by e-mail and phone to address your child’s progress and/or concerns.  Your student will know their grades and will be tracking his/her progress and growth. As a 6th grade East team, we will be using the digital app Remind & a weekly newsletter. You will have access to Parent Portal so that you will be informed as well.

Please know that I will work with you and your student to ensure that your child is successful.
