About the Assistant Principal:Lauren Barnes

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year here at Mustang Trails. This is my 15th year in education. I began my career as a kindergarten teacher at Mustang Creek Elementary. This is my 3rd year as the Assistant Principal at Mustang Trails. All of my experiences have been positive and have shaped my values and beliefs today. I am fortunate to have my own 3 children in the district that I was raised in. I strive to make the educational experience for all students at Trails like that of my own children.

Like I mentioned above, I was raised in Mustang. I attended Lakehoma Elementary, Mustang North Middle School, and graduated from Mustang High School. My college experience is a Bachelor of Science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Masters in Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I am married to my best friend Gentry Barnes. He is a Medical Dosimetrist and works in Oncology. We have 3 beautiful children, Grayson, Traylon, and Braylee. They keep us pretty busy with sports but in our spare time we like to go to the lake and just hang out as a family.

I am so glad to be here at Trails. I strive daily to build positive relationships with students, parents, and community members. It is our goal to Nurture, Inspire, and Educate all students at Mustang Trails. Please feel free to call or email me anytime.

Sincerely,

Lauren Barnes
