Greetings and Welcome to Mustang Education Center/Maxine & George Morris Alternative Education Center! Mustang Ed Center is a unique school where students start and complete their public school experience.
My name is John “Kirk” Wilson, the Principal of the MEC. I am a graduate of Frederick High School in Frederick, OK and Cameron University in Lawton, OK. I taught in the Putnam City School District (Competitive Debate, Speech, Drama, Communications, English, etc.) for eight years, and served in the Oklahoma City Public School District for nine years as Assistant Principal at Classen School of Advanced Studies, principal of Hayes Elementary and Wilson Arts Integration Elementary, and principal of Northwest Classen High School. I am so excited to be a part of the Mustang community and feel right at home as a Bronco!
Mustang Ed Center (MEC) opened in the 2004-2005 school year, and we serve Pre-K students and high school students in the Alternative Education program. MEC is a safe place where highly qualified, caring educators equip and empower students to be responsible, lifelong learners. Both groups of students thrive in learning environments designed to meet their developmental, social, and academic needs.
I look forward to working with you throughout the school year to provide a challenging, productive, and safe learning environment that supports our dedication to excellence. Together let’s make our upcoming year an extremely rewarding and memorable experience.
Kirk Wilson, Principal
