Chewbacca vs Yoda

Centennial Presidential Election
Chewbacca vs. Yoda
Our 4th graders hosted a mock presidential election on Election Day.  Every student in the building was able to cast their vote.  They had ballots, a ballot box, and real time election results to view after they voted. The picture above shows Mrs. Fletcher's first grade class along with fourth grade polling place volunteers from Mrs. S. Johnson's class.  The race was close, but eventually Yoda did pull ahead and win.

4th Grade Book Tasting

Chez Centennial Restaurante
Below are our fourth graders dining at Chez Centennial Restaurante, conveniently located in our Media Center.  Students enjoyed a three course meal, consisting of three genres: historical fiction, realistic fiction, and fantasy, served by Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Davis.

Book Club

3rd and 4th Grade Book Clubs met this week after reading books from the Historical Fiction genre.  Students ate lunch in the library, discussed their books with teachers and administrators, and then played a game.  We tested out the Nearpod app and signed in to the presentation using laptops and iPads.  We had a great time!
