About me!

I have been teaching for 3 years and I am so excited to welcome my students back this August! It has been a crazy year for many reasons! I moved to Mustang from Lawton in the summer of 2019, started teaching at MCMS when it opened in August, got engaged last December, and then got married in TN during spring break, only to find out we would not be returning to school! I have missed my students during this break but I have been thankful for time with my family.

I have 4 kids! Two girls Macie(6) and Emory(2), and two bonus boys Grady(8) and Wyatt(5)! It's safe to say our house is like a circus sometimes! My husband Caleb works in wind energy and fixes wind turbines! It has led me to have a place for them in my heart, so I love to study and learn about renewable energy!

When I am not working or dealing with the at-home circus, I love to go on adventures! I love shopping(boutiques, Ulta, home decor stores, target, you name it!), movies, eating at fun or new places, exploring downtown, going to church, and going on drives with my husband. We also go fishing quite often.  My husband is a hunter so I have gone with him down to Southeastern OK a few times and it is beautiful during the fall! I have recently started playing golf with him and he says I'm pretty good for a beginner (ha!) We also love sports. He's a Rangers fan and I'm a Yankee fan but it works because we both love OU!

I love being a middle school teacher because I love getting to play an important part in the student's journeys! Middle school can be a tough year to navigate so I am thankful to be there to guide them and help them see that there are endless possibilities if you just set positive goals and stick to them! 7th Grade science covers a lot of different topics so we like to emphasize the fact that there are TONS of careers to choose from in science!

I hope everyone has a great year and stays safe!

Go Broncos!
