All Oklahoma Public Schools Are Closed Through The End Of The 2019-2020 School Year.
At this time, all schools and offices are not scheduled to reopen until the 2020-2021 school year begins.
We will be working on plans to re-open Central Enrollment after April 6, 2020.

Hi, I am Jamie Cochran, your MHS DECA Advisor and Marketing teacher. This is my ninth year teaching and fifth year at MHS. I am so excited to share this school year with you and your child. My class is very hands on, I give the majority of the assignments in Google Classroom so that your child can stay up to date, even if they are not at school. DECA was very successful last year and we are aiming even higher this year. We operate the school store, present the annual MHS Fashion Show and compete in DECA competitions at the state and national level. 
When I'm not busy at school, my husband and I keep busy by running our three kids from here to there. We have two 10 year old daughters and one 16 year old son.
I look forward to great things this year, and watching my students knock DECA out of the park!   
 Students enrolled in all marketing classes are required to join our co-curricular student organization, DECA. The dues should be paid by October 1st. The local, state and national dues total $35. This amount also includes an MHS DECA tee. Leadership conferences, competitions and field trips may require students to pay an entry fee as well.  
We are working hard this year to earn a spot at the International Career Development Conference in Nashville in April 2020! 
Teaching methods: Lecture, project-based learning, technology driven lessons. Please review Google classroom with your student to check their class progress. 

Assessments and grades: Daily work, Unit tests and Projects. All work will be graded on a total points system. A=90%-100%, B=80%-89%, C=70%-79%, D = 60%-69%, F=0-59%

Grading: All work not turned in will receive a 50%. Once it has been turned in an graded, no longer than one week past due date, the grade will be revised with a 10% late penalty.

Breaks: Students will be allowed to place their items, such as backpack or purse, in my room prior to the bell and leave for restroom break and return immediately and not be charged with a tardy. If they abuse the policy by daily trips or excessive time, this privilege will be suspended. No breaks will be given during class.

Cell Phones: Please do not call or text your student during class time unless it's an emergency. Cell phones are a huge distraction  in class and the limited use is beneficial to your students success in class.
