Valley Great Expectations Students will:

*Assist administrators, teachers, and parents at school functions.
*Serve as door greeters at assemblies.
*Be respectful to everyone at Valley.
*Encourage good behavior in other students.
*Help create a sense of responsibility amongst students for the good of the school.
*Meet as a group to discuss & brainstorm ways to solve school related issues (such as absenteeism, truancy, vandalism, and low achievement).

We will practice virtuous living using the Life Principles.
Great Expectation students do the following: read aloud, recite, exchange ideas and opinion, analyze text, get spelling words from the text instead of a speller, speak before varied audiences, speak in complete sentences, write daily using a variety of formats, utilize listening and thinking exercises, practice listening and responding appropriately, practice math skills through chants, jingles, and written exercises, write essays, use dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference materials, participate in group activities and cooperative learning, enjoy an integrated curriculum that includes the basic disciplines as well as the arts, actively work out solutions to problems, both social and emotional, and much, much more.
