Falling for Good Speech and Language Skills

Falling for Good Speech and Language

I hope everyone has a had a great start to our school year. I have so enjoyed getting to know all the student's at Creek and seeing all the progress that our student's have made.  We are now in full swing and have a set schedule. I hope everyone received their progress reports that were sent home with report cards. If you did not receive on let me know and I will make sure you get a copy of their first quarter progress. The student's are all doing great transitioning in and out of speech. Ms. Bri, a graduate student from Northeastern State University, has enjoyed getting to know all of the students and the students enjoy working with her. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

I hope you find this website useful and informative regarding your student's speech and language skills, how you can help them, and how to contact me. Since my students communicate with a variety of people in a variety of settings throughout their day it truly takes many people to help support and promote growth in their speech and language skills. I enjoy speaking and working with those who will be communication partners with the students I work with so please do not hesitate to contact me.

If there is anything else you would like to see on this page let me know.

All About Mrs. McGaha

All About Mrs. McGaha
Hello All!

I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to you. I have been working as a speech-language pathologist for a little over 8 years now. I enjoy every aspect of being a speech-language pathologist and often joke that I would do my job for free because I love it so much. I received my bachelors of science in communication sciences and disorders in 2007 from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) where I graduated summa cum laude and a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.  I continued my education at Oklahoma State University and graduated summa cum laude with my masters of science in communication sciences and disorders in 2009. I have worked in the school setting for the past 7 years. This is my 4th year to work with Mustang Public Schools. Prior to working in Mustang I worked in Pearland, TX just south of Houston, TX for 4 years. My first year as a speech-language pathologist was spent working in a skilled nursing facility that specialized in Alzheimer's and Dementia treatment.

As you probably noticed I have a deep love for Oklahoma State University. It is not only where I spent 6 years of my life learning and growing into who I am today, but where I made lasting friendships and met my husband of 8 years. We have 3 beautiful children. Twin daughters, Hadley and Hailey, who are 5 years old and a son, Hayden, who will be 2 in January. We also have a sweet/grumpy old dog named Dasher.

I am originally from Minco, Oklahoma and  am happy to be back near home after living in Texas for 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing games, watching movies/TV and doing crafts.

I look forward to getting to know all of you this year!
