4th Grade Math

Welcome to 4th grade math at Lakehoma!  My name is Mrs. Hodges and I absolutely love math and love to teach it.  Mathematics is such an important part of your child's educational journey.  Math is something that will be applied to their every day life situations as they become adults.  Math is also something that activates a part of your brain that other subjects are not as adept to doing.  This year, your child will build on all of those basics that they learned in Kindergarten through Third grade such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, telling time, fractions, money, measurement, and geometry.  To support your child this year, make sure they are doing their homework, using Reflex Math online, and working on their fact fluency.  Also...have conversations with them often about how to use math in every day situations and encourage them to use their skills at home or whenever you are out and about.
