Welcome to Third Grade!!!

I am thrilled to partner with you this year in your child's education. This is my ninth year of teaching, and seventh in this district. The past two years I was blessed to stay home with my now one year old and two year old while working part time in my hometown of Hennessey. I was led back to the classroom this August just a few short weeks before we welcomed students. This has been a huge, positive transition for my family. Before having my oldest, I was honored to serve as Centennial's Teacher of the Year. To stay the faculty and staff at Centennial were family before leaving, is an understatement. It was no surprise that I felt right at home as soon as I stepped back into the classroom.

I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education at Oklahoma State University in December of 2009. Immediately following, I started working at Hennessey Elementary, initially as a sub and then as a second and third grade teacher. Hennessey has always had a special place in my heart, so to work with the youth of my community was very fulfilling.

After my first two years of teaching, my husband received a job with Linn Energy that brought us to the Mustang area. I taught third and fourth grade at Lakehoma Elementary before coming to Mustang Centennial. I have served on many district committees while in Mustang that have heightened my confidence in our district. The men and women I get to call colleagues are top notch and put our children first. I am especially thankful to get the opportunity to come back to my favorite place to teach and love on some kiddos while preparing them for their future.
